continuous mode on the nx3000

I've had my nx3000 for a few weeks now & I'm delighted with it.

Last week I added the 50-200mm lens & now I'm replete... For now, anyway.

The lack of eye-level viewfinder is probably the "feature" that takes most getting used to, but the flip-up screen has allowed me to revert to a technique used many, Many years ago, with a Exa film camera with a top-mounted screen in place of a pentaprism. I flip out the screen about 30 deg. and, as I always wear a Tilley hat, or peaked helmet when on the mountain bike, use the camera chest-high. Works well, for me & means I'm not waving it about at arms' length, like a tourist.

Anyway - apologies for rambling - The reason for the post:

I appear to only be able to shoot Continuous in either Auto or Smart (scene) modes; meaning jpg only.

This is no huge constraint, as the jpgs from this camera are pretty good without me adding my two-penn'orth in Lightroom, but all the reviews I've seen state one can shoot upto 5 frames continuous raw.

Also means I can't use any manual settings when shooting  Continuous.

Is this likely to be down to me having mucked-up a setting somewhere, or misunderstood something (not unusual) or is it just the way it is? The pdf manual appears to be generic to the nx series rather than specific to the 3000.

Also, is there a setting for sensor self-cleaning? Can't find that either 😴

I find it a tad disappointing that so many reviewers still just quote manufacturers' blurb, rather than checking the camera properly - Makes you wonder what else they've taken as rote.

Grateful for any enlightenment,

Pete
