E-P5 dial relabelled
1

Warning, this is not an E-M5 Mk2 thread, there are in fact other cameras out there in the wild. Come think think of it, the E-M5 Mk2 is not in the wild anyway. I use real cameras.

Anyway......

When I assigned my 4 MySets to the E-P5 Mode dial, first up I tried labels that roughly reminded me of what they did. That Mode dial went away when they replaced the front & back twisty dials under warranty.

So now a new dial top done with scraps of Brother TZ label tape.....

Now labeled 1,2,3,4 for MySet 1,2,3,4 and I need to remember what they do, plus if I modify the MySets the numbers now do not change on the dial. Rough job when seen as a close-up but it works.

Basically MySet1 is daylight 200 ISO, then progressively towards 4 they are designed for lower and lower light, all A mode as that is what I use. If I do need the rare excursion to any of the regular PASM modes then they are still there to play with.

If I re-do it sometime in the future I'll find some yellow on black tape so it stands out more.

As for the obscured modes, well it's easy to disable the MySet and use the original spot, or better still use the raw (I always shoot raw+jpeg) and do the funny things to the raw with Oly Viewer 3.

End of post.

Now you can get back to worrying about the E-M5 Mk2.

Regards..... Guy
