My last before the moon encroaches in this lunar cycle, but I was pleased with my progress on capturing the length of the tail despite some LP and faint haze.

Taken last night Jan 25 from back yard (luxury!), Canon 5DIII unmodified, 300mm L, f/4, 120sec, ISO 1600, Astrotrac, DSS 10 lights/flats/darks, final processing in Lightroom - including slight crop and rotation for aesthetics.

Bonus: lots of cool nice faint fuzzy ~200m light-yr distant galaxies visible on the original 100% in the Perseus-Pisces Supercluster (NGC 1060, etc. visible in crop just above and left of coma).

Very nice comet image, showing the different strands within the long tail. Also the difference in color between tail and coma is well shown. I know it is difficult to get a darker background without losing the fainter parts of the tail. I also enjoyed exploring your bonus galaxies, several in the 13th to 15th magnitude range.

I'm looking forward to the Moon getting out of the way this weekend. Now if the weather would just cooperate . . .
