Samsung designed the nx mount to take full advantage of the apsc sensor size.

Yes. Full frame is not the optimal sensor size, because the lenses for smaller sensors can have much more quality at the same size. Also Full Frame is not useful on NX, because the mount diameter is smaller than Full frame, so the light path would have to be widened after the mount, what is nonsense in digital - the trend is the opposite, concentrate te same amount of light to a smaller area

Back to nx mount, you cannot have fullframe. This is alteady the biggest sensor possible on the mount.

No, APS-C is not the biggest sensor size for NX. APS-H would easily be possible ( factor 1.3 ) and I would appreciate APS-H, a professional APS H line.

aps/h was Canon's stepping stone before FF (cheaper to make because more aps/h chips could be taken from one silicon wafer on the fabrication machines back then) Interesting that everyone says the mount can be this size and maybe the S lenses can cover the sensor size (they seem large as FF lenses in any case). But I don't see this happening either.  Why not just change the mount if Samsung wants to make a larger sensor? There are not that many NX lenses yet.

I think Samsung will develop a new 32MP BCMOS sensor that is aps/c first. That is my guess in any case. Same NX mount.
