Samsung designed the nx mount to take full advantage of the apsc sensor size. Dslr apsc use a fullframe mount so lenses are never a 'perfect fit', entierely designed For the sensor. So real wide lenses (12mm became 18mm) cost much more. On the other side full frame System has a much more high cost. Bigger sensor, better lenses to take full advantage of it and more tele need.

Back to nx mount, you cannot have fullframe. This is alteady the biggest sensor possible on the mount. In fact, you alteady have an nx 'fullframe'. The nxmini (lovely) is the cropped sensor.

To get a bigger sensor Samsung will need to design a new mount.

And Sony is dropping the whole Alpha apsc in favor of the e mount, witch is similar to nx in the intent, but missing some target in the design. (as a Sony User i think that they lost the path several times in the last few years, too bad for a very good start!)

So, maybe, the future is fullframe For the pros and mirrorless apsc For the test of us.

And i guess we are going to pay less attention to the sensor and more to the engine. We do not need better iso performance, we need better in camera noise reduction to take full advantage of what we already own. We deserve customized workflow in camera.

And i think that Samsung will be the first to land there. The nx1 already put some basis For it.
