Howdy,
So I'm looking for a way that I can use something to stream a live presentation we are hosting. I'm wondering if I can plug my T1i into my computer and use some software to turn it into a webcam that I can stream via Hangouts or uStream or some other streaming type system.
I'm also wondering if this would harm the camera at all and if I'd be better off using an HD webcam instead for any reason. Only one I have access to is a Microsoft HD-3000 but it obviously can't zoom and things like that.
Thanks.
Normally plugging the camera to your Pc via USB will show up as a USB storage device. (would need USB drivers for it to show up as a camera)
Using the HDMI connector on the other hand should work. I remember seeing this request elsewhere and googled and found there are software packets for the job.
but a quick Google search I found T1i as webcam hope it helps.
