Congratulations, Henry, best of luck! It would be great if you posted a follow-up with your thoughts on both cameras after you've used the E-M10 a bit.

Yes, I will do that. Ordered this morning and about 3 hours later I got an email saying it had been shipped. We are staying in Okinawa for a month so it might take a day or two longer than usual to receive it. Friday night here so maybe Sunday or Monday. I have ordered cameras before here in Japan and even with free shipping I usually get them the next day or the day after.

I've also considered the E-M10 to eliminate shutter shock, have usable My-sets and a built-in flash, but have been hesitant over 3-axis IBIS, love to know if you see any discernible difference there.

Well, all I have read is that the practical difference between 3-axis and 5-axis is that 5-axis is a bit better for close-ups, but for other cases they are the same. I rarely take handheld close-ups so probably I don't get the additional advantage of the 5-axis. Not sure what is considered a close-up. I suppose less than a meter? 3-axis still works for close-ups too though.

Plus it bugs me having to buy a new camera to fix a design issue (SS) Olympus could remedy by a simple firmware update.

Yep, I hear you. MySets on the mode dial is certainly just a firmware change. The 0-second AS thing probably could be done for the E-M5, but there is a possibility that the hardware does not support it. I suspect it does though since it was added to the E-M10.
