Re: 600D focusing issue - in my head or real?

General comment to all 3 pics.  They all look like a flat pic style.  I like flat pic style, but ensure camera has sharpness -4, contrast -4, sat -2.  They all need process in post for sharpness/colour/contrast, I like LR but DPP can be used for raw on its own.  Not a big fan of PP as it takes longer to process pics.

I would also like to see the rgb histo, to ensure no highlights are clipped, and that you are max the peaks as if not done, that could be cause of flatness.

First pic, way too much sky (2/3 of pic), third pic looks about 50% sky and boring trees which is suppose to be the background.  Suggest more field less sky.  Rule of thirds suggest no more than 1/3 sky.  I crop sky to even less very often.  Shooting more water/snow may also adjust your exposure.  For me shooting snow I may be around f16 for instance to get detail.  Reframing and adjusting exposure will improve detail, which is where these pics fall down in my eyes.  JM2C

First pic, looks to me like WA not best choice, as sky and lots of snow with a thin band of trees is a lot of filler.  Suggest zoom/get closer to the trees, shoot more snow perhaps a trail someone walked in to add interest and lines.  JM2C.
