One of these days . . .

The whole idea of photography is that when you paint with light, you want to get the best and sharpest image as possible. Clearly, in your case, the EM-1 out performed your big Nikon. I had a Canon 7D with a nice long lens, and I'm sure I looked like a pro when out shooting birds etc. But when I compare the results of the 7D to my EM-5, the EM-5 is clearly the winner. I remember attending a wedding last year and watching a small framed photographer wrestling with what looked like a Nikon D2X mounted on a huge bracket with flash attached. I couldn't help but chuckle at how the gear she was carrying was almost as big as her. I'm sure all those who were attending the wedding was so impressed with her gear and thinking that the images coming from her camera had to be at a high quality level. Little did they know that the camera she was using cannot match the IQ of these newer and much smaller mirrorless cameras. Now if she was shooting this wedding with say the EM-5 or the newer EM-1, she would most likely have been perceived as one of the guests. The point is, that in the minds of many, when it comes to cameras, bigger is better. One of these days, the truth will be known to all.
