How far away were you from the bird? I have the kit lens 55-250mm that came with my 600D. I would like to boost it but don't know if the 300mm is going to make that much difference. Love the cats reflection.
Might be better saving and taking the bigger jump to 500mm-600mm check out the weekly show us your snaps Digirama and others use a 150mm-600mm Tamron and I have to say I am so jealous I want one
With regards to the photos they're nice shots
Hi,
Ambiguously. I do not share cycling and photography. And when I bike, I had no camera in the bag but on the side. I have long hesitated to go from Canon 55-250 to Tamron 70-300 for size and weight. I can not imagine how you can combine bike and Tamron 150-600. I saw how people take pictures of the birds out of the car and not because they are lazy, just car the birds do not be afraid.
I wonder how changed behavior Digirama in the field after the acquisition 150-600.

if you think the 150-600 Tamron is heavy have a look at the Canon 1200 5.61 super TP
looks a bit heavier but I bet the photos of birds are awesome. Other downside is the $120.000 price tag.

Canon EOS 80D
Canon EF 50mm F1.8 II
Tamron AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro
