It's the same with me. I don't have any problems connecting and mounting my NX2000 with my Linux (Gentoo) box.
I mostly use my NX2000 with one of the three pancakes and it's a nice little camera. In my opinion, the display is a good one. With focus peaking and magnifier activated, even manual lenses are usable, but for this I prefer the NX30 with a full articulated screen and EVF.
