camera not compatible with linux (have to remove the micro SD),

I'm very surprised at this.

I have an Ubuntu 12.04 Laptop and tried both my NX1100 and NX3000 with a USB connection.

Both were seen without difficulty as additional disks and I can move files between the two.

As I don't have an NX2000 I can't be absolutely certain as to why you can't make a connection, and of course the Samsung "Windows" iLauncher software won't be compatible, but to say the camera is not compatible seems unlikely.
