This lens is also very unparfocal. It looses focus during video all the time when zooming just a little.

it was obviously designed as a Stills lens by the comments .. the Original model was designed as a Video lens first and foremost (for the GH1) and suffered optical compromises, despite which its still on sale - ever wondered why you can still buy the two models ?  .

Why Panasonic can`t (or can`t be bothered) get the optically superb Mk2 to work properly on video is a mystery especially as it`s being packaged with the GH4 (unless the IS woes don`t happen on the GH4) ...

Being a stills guy, I couldn`t give a hoot about the video issues, I`m just grateful they`ve managed to make a superzoom which matches or exceeds two separate decent lenses (14-42-II & 45-150) covering the same focal length without having to stop down past F5.6 and being smaller than the 45-150 ! ...

Superzooms for APS-C cameras are too much of a compromise, even the best (latest) Sigma 18-200 model - the 18-250/270/300s are way too optically challenged and the less said about full frame superzooms the better .. M43 has pulled it out of the bag with this Panny lens.....  if you want Video, grab a used Mk1 cheap  ..
