I don't own one but I bet that it's a great lens. I have the pana/Leica 25mm f1.4 lens and I'm really liking it.

As far as what it's good for? That's hard to say... I bought the 25mm in a large part to photograph bands in low lit clubs, which it's really good for. Still, in general I tend to think of myself as being into wider lenses. I had been doing a lot of photography in my neighborhood, shooting lots of little kind of still life scenes, "vignettes" one might call them and since I had this new lens, I started using it for that kind of stuff. What happened is that I ended up shooting in a bit different way with that lens and I've been really really happy with the results. I guess that my advice is to just shoot the kinds of things that you ordinarily like to shoot with this lens and you might just find that you see things in a different way with it... and that you like the results. Most would say that you should match the gear to what you shoot, but changing up the gear, even somewhat arbitrairily and then working with that can be nice as well...
