I don't use this as often as the 25mm f/1.4 but it works really well.  Most everything that is more than 3 feet in front of the lens is going to be in focus.  Some people find that a problem, but when I covered the DNC in Charlotte in 2012, it was the perfect lens for what I wanted, and I shot a lot from the hip as I moved through the crowds.

The Democratic National Convention had something going on everywhere.  If you have a chance to cover any of the next conventions go for it.  The 14mm was the perfect lens for this.

Crowds everywhere.

A street preacher and no one was listening to him.

People sharing their views everywhere.

Pressing the flesh.

And don't forget you can crop in P.P.  or you could set you camera to shoot in 1:1.  Remember the center of the lens is the sharpest part of the lens.
