Fetishising Bokeh is one way to go for taking portraits.

The other is to learn about composition.

..says someone with bokeh envy LOL...

Yup - to the person to lazy to learn composition.

Calling people "lazy" must make you a lot friends?

You're like the guy with one arm saying I can be a great boxer if I just learn "technique".

Wrong.

I have m43 and ff; both are great for separate reasons. But if I had only one camera I'd go with full frame because I know what you are missing regardless of what level of "composition" you think you may have.

If you have BOTH comp skills and bokeh. That adds up to a superior combo since you have both sets of tools; not just limiting your self....

Similarly throwing around accusations of envy prove you're a little charmer too.

I dont particularly like that very blurred look - typically I can achieve what I want with mFT and a fast (for mFT) lens.

On those rare occasions when I want lots of blur I either shoot medium format if I really want quality or use my old OM system (the lenses of which fit with my mFT kit) or I have the option to add in post processing.

In many respects if your PS skills are OK it's no longer a trade off of weight between mFT and FF but of time spent in post between the two systems if you want that look.

So one armed boxer - WRONG. Guy who can pull out a gun (photoshop) in the middle of a fist fight is a better analogy.
