I have 3 batteries for my E-M5, so yes with an E-M10 I would have to buy a couple more. Actually, the E-M5 and E-M10 are so close in size that it seems obvious that it was the marketers who mandated the smaller, lower capacity battery for the E-M10.

That's true. It's making the upgrade path easier for the PEN users who have got the same batteries in their cameras. Upgraders are more common than downgraders, wouldn't you agree?

The E-M10 is reported to have the same problem as the E-M5, E-P5, etc. Only the E-M1 is reported to be okay. It seems to be somewhat dependent on the copy of the lens and the copy of the body though.

...and the GH2 to GH4 and several other Panny cameras. And it's a well known fact that most of these banding problems are caused by the Lumix 20 1.7 - even mentioned by Panny in the manual. So, it's first of al a lens problem and far less a camera problem.
