Minuses:

  • 3-axis IBIS

Not an issue in my opinion. Of course, I haven't seen how the 5-axis behaves against the 3-axis, but I'm already very satisfied with the 3-axis. I even stopped using Panasonic OIS for IBIS.

I don't shoot macro and it is at very close ranges that the 5-axis is supposed to be better than the 3-axis I have heard. At more normal distances are they the same?

  • smaller battery with less capacity and a different charger

Not a big issue either, just grab a second battery, and keep it in your bag. I got a 3rd party for 12 $ and lasts as much as the OEM.

I have 3 batteries for my E-M5, so yes with an E-M10 I would have to buy a couple more. Actually, the E-M5 and E-M10 are so close in size that it seems obvious that it was the marketers who mandated the smaller, lower capacity battery for the E-M10.

  • not weather sealed

Might be an issue, if you shoot in wet conditions. Are all your lenses weather sealed as well? Is not, then is not a biggie.

None of my lenses are weather sealed and the E-M5 is the first camera I have owned that was so I don't care much about this. I have never had a problem in 45 years.

Does the E-M10 have the same slow wakeup from sleep mode as the E-M5?

Like half a sec on mine, how much is the E-M5

Is that correct?  That would be a dream compared to the E-M5. The E-M5 is about 1.5-2 seconds. A lifetime for much of the photography I do and I always miss shots. See this post for more info:

Can the E-M10 still get banding with Panasonic 20mm f1.7? From my understanding it can, but the E-M1 is okay. I recently reluctantly bought an Olympus 25mm f1.8 to use for travel instead of the 20mm so this issue isn't as pressing as before, but it would be nice to be able to use my 20mm like I always intended when I bought it.

I've seen any banding whatsoever with neither the 20 1.7 or 14 2.5. Not even at very high ISOs in shadow areas. Not a bit.

The E-M10 is reported to have the same problem as the E-M5, E-P5, etc. Only the E-M1 is reported to be okay. It seems to be somewhat dependent on the copy of the lens and the copy of the body though.
