Some people forget this camera waiting for new and smaller ones and is not aware how small it is. Have tried it twice just waiting for the price to go down, still rather high here. Almost the perfect camera, the right tilting screen and the EVF, the only such combination. Was stopped by the EVF not 100% with glasses,
Once you start using the NX30 you rely on the fully articulating LCD more and more and on the EVF less and less over time except for the usual subjects 'requiring' an EVF to compose.
Panasonic better here. But have seen what the difference in sensor size means. Also sure Samsung will make more good lenses.
Maybe. But with three cameras with tilting LCDs always used the EVF most. And maybe more with tilting EVF. But NX30 could be one of the last cameras with fully articulating LCD and that makes it special. All kinds of fancy variations taking over.
Especially for portraits and shooting from the ground upward and many other vantage points.
Shot many concerts from first row without blocking anyone behind nor being distracting to the performers. Fully articulating LCD is amazing.
My comment above does not relate to the the tilting LCD (NX300, etc.).
Yes, shooting from the ground, and I'm getting old... Also very good at concerts and images of family, just fiddle with the camera and they relax. And maybe with the 30 mm small enough to be allowed to lots of concerts?
Hi,
I did not intend to suggest the NX30 is small enough to be 'allowed into concerts', what I am saying is once seated in a front row you can capture most of the performers without blocking those seated behind you and without distracting the performers by using the fully articulating LCD of the NX30 and without raising the EVF to eye-level.
Of course new cameras will be better at high ISO, but there always will be new cameras. In good light even NX10 can produce some good results.
