DP3m front panel "clicking/caving" feeling

This is a question for anyone having held a DP3m in his/her hands.

I can not help but notice that EVERY time I get my DP3m out of the bag and in my hand (I usually hold it with my right hand), when I grip it the area on the front panel of the camera (approximately where the "A" from "Sigma" is) clicks/caves in ever so slightly. It's like pressing the tin lid of a glass canned food jar. A little "clonk", like the metal is caving in.

Curiusly enough, once it's done - it's difficult to recreate (like the metal has adjusted), till I let it rest till the next time I take it out of the bag (when it does the same).

My DP1m does not do that, so I thought there was an assembly problem with my DP3m. Then I thought - shell might be the same, but the cutout for the lens might be of different diameter.

Anyway - anyone holding a DP3m currently - do you get the same thing happening with yours ? Is it normal ?

It doesn't bother me, but if it's not normal then something is under tension and adjusts when touched/pressed, which is no good.

Thanks in advance.
