Just got a t1i and have some problems. would a t3i better serve me?

ok so i was planning to buy myself a t3i to record youtube videos and take pictures as i'm a musician, but family got me a t1i for christmas. its a nice camera, but i have a few problems with it. i will be using this camera until i outgrow it as im new to photography and video recording with dslrs, but im thinking of going to the t3i when im ready.

i purchased a 50mm 1.8 so i do get some good shots with it, but mostly outdoor in good light like sunlight.

the problems i have with my t1i so far is this

  • cant shoot in low light at all. higher iso's cause too much grainy noise. doesnt look good at all.especially indoor..
  • no custom exposure settings (ISO, Aperture, ETC) in movie mode other then balance.
  • no flip out screen

i read reviews and searched forums. most people said the upgrade isnt worth it. just get a better lenses. i also know that all the models of the rebel line after the t1i have a noise reduction feature in it so you can use higher iso's, but is it better? it seems like the upgrade would be good for me since i would benefit from a flip out screen, but how much better is the t3i?

well what do you guys think? thanks in advanced.
