Canon 1200D or switch to Nikon D3200

Hi I'm a beginner looking to take photos of family/landscape photos.

I have a Canon 400D along with the kit lens and a 50mm lens but am looking to upgrade. I've had a look at the reviews on both of the above cameras and the Nikon D3200 looks like it is a much better camera for the £ when it comes to technical specifications (currently £30 more than the Canon).

My question is should I stick with the Canon as the (all be it few) lenses/accessories that I have are Canon or should I make the switch to the Nikon as this would be better in the long run?

I'm aware that higher models like Canon 100D & 600D are better cameras but I'm limited by my budget and as these 2 cameras are a good price right now, these are the 2 I'm choosing between. I will go to a store and hold both cameras. I'm sure I will like the Canon better as this is what I'm used to but equally I'm sure I would get used to the Nikon.

Any advice appreciated!
