Re: New to DSLR, taking ebay photos
If you have not already think about some software, in my experience there are three main software companies and their products to accomplish the photo editing, here I know nothing, I simply look at what their billions of other computer experts world wide tell me to buy and do what they tell me to buy. The computer experts have told me that the three main software companies that make photo editing software are: Adobe, Corel and AddSee.
Adobe makes a lot of software, but for the sake of talking about something in a clear manner I will talk about two of their products: Photoshop CC and Photoshop Elements. The difference between the two of them is the Photoshop CC you buy a yearly subscription ($10 a month) and adobe worys about upgrades and the patches, this is the best way to go if you are a professional who is constantly out on photoshoots and needs to process photos as soon as you get them, since it is web based. Photoshop Elements is mainly for the amatuers like you and I and its the type of software that you buy once and use it as long as you like. The only issue that I have with Adobe is that there are several modules that you need to use to get one job done. In the Elements software there is the Organizer then seperately there is the editior, and this is why I chose Corel.
The one I sue is Corel Paint Shop Pro which is every bit as powerful as Adobe but does things in one big module rather than forcing you to move between modules to get one job done. I haven't gotten much of a chance to use the software as most of the photos I tend to use directly from the camera as I do not think that htey need much processing, although sometimes I will do some post processing.
AddSee I have no knowledge of however the computer industry tells me that its a great software. The problem that I see with AddSee is that they make a lot of different products and its rather dificult to determine which you need.
