Re: 24 or 25 into 60 doesn't go

I really think it is the best camera you can get for it's money at this time. Great features, nice image, compact (no external recorder necessary for 4K) etcetera!
But it is such a freakin' shame and absolutely ridiculous that ''you have to'' shoot in 30p for a smooth (non-flickering high-contrast edges) image.

It's interesting what you said about traditional 24p, the spinning disk.
When I was testing my GH4 I was hoping the issue was caused by some sync issue between the shutter and the actual recorded frames per second. For example: Shutter closing at 1, but the frame ends at 1,2. Don't know if something like that is possible AT ALL, but i'm not a technician, just a thought worth trying! Anyway, I tried ''to fix'' that with syncro scan, but no success.

I'm still filming with my Canon 650D, 24p,25p system set at 50Hz or 60Hz no problem with strobing.
That's why I don't get the whole ''the problem is your refresh-rate of your screen/television/monitor'' discussion. (although I tried different displays/tv's from 24hz to 144hz without any success or improvement with the GH4)
I simply don't want to shoot in 30p because I really love DAT 24p/25p feel.

Wondering if this also was an issue with older GH series?

Sorry for my English, I'm Dutch and I hope it makes sense
