Yes, that is correct. And sensor overheating is less of a issue with newer DSLR sensors.

But... If you are going over 30 mins per CLIP, you need to ask yourself... Why? Keep in mind that someone will be forced by you to sit through it at some point, so don't torture them needlessly. Edit your clips into films that can be digested without suicidal tendencies.

Also, recording 30 mins of video will chew through most of your DSLR's battery anyway, so if you want to record more you need to carry lots of batteries or be connected to AC power directly.
