Quick AF observation I want to share

My NX1/50-150 AF tracking success with area focus, where I choose the size and placement of the AF area in AFC has not been very successful - that said, this is the first day when it hasn’t rained since the camera arrived Tuesday. I finally switched to multi-focus in desperation, having found that spectacularly unsuccessful with my Nikons, and it appeared the little flashing green squares were tracking the fast running dogs perfectly.
These are two images at 150mm, 1600th, f3.5, one at ISO 6400, the other at ISO3200 (auto ISO - and I discovered that on high frame rate - I was using 12fps - the maximum ISO is 6400). These are back lighted, and from many years of doing this, I know this is a difficult tracking situation. These are two of a sequence of 16, one near the beginning of the sequence, and the other a couple of frames from the end. All 16 images in the sequence are perfectly focused like this.
I have many more to look at in LR, and much more to learn about the camera, but I thought I should share this to help anyone else who is experimenting or planning to use the NX1 for any action today.
As an aside, I was becoming resigned to (what I assumed was) the fact this little camera was not going to work well for this, and that was what originally attracted me to it in the first place. However, I took a bunch of slow motion clips of action today in the woods and here at home, and they are simply stunning. Great color, sharpness so high it’s actually a bit much occasionally, and focus...mostly in perfect focus (again the multi area setting). That sealed the deal in my mind, I was going to keep the NX1 and 50-150 f2.8. I have a Sony FS700, but have to focus manually and it’s limited to 9 second clips at 250fps, which it then takes forever plus a bit to write to the card before it is available again. I can adapt my long Nikon lens and some of the Canon lenses too (like the 50 and 85 f1.2 and 300 f2.8). I’ll update when I look at more photos, and when I get a chance to process and post the 120fps slow motion. That is not going to be today, because children and grandchildren will arrive before long!
