NX1 today and 50-150 AFC images

I used the

(my only Samsung lens) for the first time. The light was terrible, dark, heavily overcast, wet.... I was using manual with auto ISO, and the camera defaulted to ISO 6400. Shutter speeds were 1000th-1600th at f2.8 - 3.2. Despite this, the images were typically under exposed by .5 - to 1 plus stops and occasionally 1.5 stops. I knew the camera was under exposing the images, but didn't know how to fix it quickly. I shot at 12fps.

There were more OOF shots than in focus, but I think a lot of that was my fault. I as in AFC and used the single AF square, which I moved around and changed size to experiment with it. The fact there is a entire sequence in focus (the caveat being it was at an angle, not straight on) argues that the camera is fairly capable in this mode, despite the challenging conditions and subject matter. The dog in the sequence is an especially difficult subject to track. She is black with very dark eyes, and can really fly. I used the D3s for one sequence and it was in focus, but I’ve used these cameras for this kind of thing since the D3 first came out many years ago, and I’ve shot hundreds of thousands of images with it, plus this is its province, what it is designed to do, and do well. I did not spend any time working on these - I added exposure and a few other tweaks, so they are really not representative of what you might be able to get with an image at this ISo in these very flat conditions. The sequence is at the link, and here are a few samples, all at ISO6400.
