The 30/2 is the basic reason I'm still happily invested in a system that does not provide me with my favourite type of body, the rangefinder style. There is nothing out there that touches the NX1000/30 combo for size, IQ and price. The lens is slow focusing, but it is incredibly sharp across the frame right from wide open, and the size... man. The 30/2 is so good that it makes sense having an NX body just to use it, like some people keep a Canon body just to use the 400/5.6L.

I prefer my Sony NEX-6 for general photography, on account of the rangefinder format, and the NEX sensor is just as good. But Sony has nothing that even comes close to touching the 30/2 for IQ, size and price. Whenever I can get away with ~45mm and no EVF, I grab my NX.

I have an NX 1000 with the kit lens. I also have several Sony NEXT cameras and the redoubtable Sigma 30/2.8 lens, which is very sharp indeed, but lacking a bit in the quality of bokeh. How will the NX30 compare, assuming the APSC bodies will be close to equal? (which they are.)

Thank you.
