The Northrups review the NX30

It points out the main issue of the sensor not matching the Sony fitted cameras. But I think it falls over in the same way much of the discussion on DPR does, in that lenses are not given enough importance. I have both the Sony 16mp sensor and the Samsung 14 and 20mp sensors. Yes the sensor of the Sony is better but the lenses (similar price) aren’t as sharp. As a scenic photographer who mostly shoots at f5.6 and iso 100 I am more interested in a sharp photo and so the NX always wins.

The problem is that all the reviewers on the web are portrait/object photographers and they want bokeh and low light, where as I could not  care less about such things. They will often do a lens review without even looking at its ability to achieve sharpness at the edges.

Note; when I say sharp I am concerned with sharp corner to corner with depth if field, this is where so many supposedly good lenses fall over due to field curvature. The NX lenses are not perfect bout some are very good.
