White Balance for very early morning shooting

Hi,

below two shots I have tried to shoot at very early morning. The sun was just a bit over the horizon and thus was lighting directly with reddish sun my subject.

When I initially posted my initial shots, some of the comments I got were that he looks tomato red his face.

(dpreview makes them look too pixel-ish but the discussion is about colors)

and

At that point I have kept using AWB from my camera (these were raw). After having the first complaints I used some of the values behind him in lightroom for the grey level selection. Lightroom then "suggested" me to keep the temperature the same but reduce temperature by -8.

Now the two shots look like:

what do you now see? Does he still look tomato red on your screen? My screen is calibrated..but unfortunately has limited srgb support.
