First Birding w' 40-150 F2.8
5

The lens arrived today, so I had to take it out for a quick drive by on my lunch hour.  The light was low and overcast, nothing to get excited about.

I really just wanted to see how good this thing was wide open, and I gotta say I'm liking it so far.

And after getting used to the 150 F2, this thing is perfectly compact, and an absolute gem of a lens.  I can't wait for the teleconverter to arrive in a few days, at least this will allow me to survive until the 300mm F4 comes out.  Then I may disappear from the office altogether.
