I can't find a comparison, and LensTip has not tested the 14-45. Apart from different FL and speed, how do the two lenses compare for sharpness and other factors?

thanks

Here is one of the few reviews of the 14-45, they also have a 12-35 review.

I have both, they are both keepers but for different reasons.

Wide open, the 12-35 is only slightly sharper than the 14-45 -  but there is a lot more about that comparison than image sharpness-  the 12-35 is F2.8 wid eopen allowing either significantly lower ISO or faster shutter than the 14-45.

At F4, the 12-35 is sharper and faster than the 14-45 stopped down one stop from maximum (at whatever the biggets aperture is for that focal length)

The 12-35 has an extra 2mm at the wide end. At the long end I can crop the the 12-35 by about 25% to get the same field of view as the 14-45.

But at the wide end its practical to get an extra 15% FOV from the 14-45 to match the 12-35.

The 14-45 is slightly lighter and a lot cheaper -  I carry it with my G5 and the 45-200 when I go into risky situations such as wilderness canoeing.

I use the 12-35, 35-100 and the 15/1.7 for indoor and low light work, and safe outdoor situations.
