There's just that one detail... all of it!

Re: There's just that one detail... all of it!

I just received a DPQ2 from a Black Friday special from B&H so I have not had enough time to make much of an evaluation.

So far:

  1. Very impressed with the build quality.
  2. Concerned about how warm (bordering on hot) that it runs.
  3. Initial battery (fully charged) drained remarkably fast.  Made run time on my DP3M and DP2X look very good.  But, the battery may require cycling several times to reach max runtime but how fast it drained last night does have me concerned.  I probably took about 15 images but did a lot of review of the images plus searching through the menus.
  4. When using a automatic flash (have a Metz 20 C-2) with WB set for flash and manual metering say at 1/500 f/5.6 the display darkens to the point where you cannot recognize what you are trying to photograph.  This flash works very good on my DP3M and DP2X and the screens do not darken like the screen does on the DP2Q.

Any comments would be appreciated.
