Re: Rebel T5i Video transfer to computer for sport analysis

Thanks

Yes, moving the SD card to the Laptop/Surface and then playing the video is the only way I know how to do this. This will work, but it will be cumbersome.  I would like to review and analyze each delivery before I make the next one.  That would mean removing the Camera from the tripod (if used), removing the SD from the camera, move the SD to the Laptop/Surface, view the 10 sec video with the laptop software, and than return the SD to the camera before the next delivery can be recorded.

What I would like to do is to access the camera from the computer like an external disk drive and view the files directly from the camera.  I don't know that I can do this using the camera AV or HDMI ports.  The Laptop has a HDMI outlet and USB ports, The Surface has only USB ports.

The LCD screen on the camera is pretty small to do a good analysis especially if 2 or more people wish to view at the same time.  Also no stop motion or reverse motion.
