How about a 1x, 1.4x, and 2x TC that have IS?

Yeah, but with nearly all the lenses on which you might use one now having IS, there doesn't seem to be as much of a point of that as there used to be. What's left, 135/2 and 200/2.8L? Everything else reasonable seems to have IS already.

Well, for me, let's see: 15 / 2.8 FE, 24 / 1.4L, 35 / 1.4A, 40 / 2.8, 50 / 1.4A, 70 / 2.8 macro, 100 / 2, 200 / 2.8L -- not one of these lenses has an IS option available, and, even if they did, what would that cost for me to replace them with the IS options?

A 1.0IS might make sense for those, but not a 1.4 or 2.0 (except the 200/2.8).

Agreed. I'd absolutely love a 1x IS TC. But, combine that with your suggestion of a zoomable TC, and that would be awesome!

I think they'd be different.

What you want is IS added to your short, fast primes. Having it be good optically at f/1.4 with decentered elements is a tough nut to crack. Add in magnification and zooming and it might be impossible.

But, design it as a fixed 1.0, and maybe.

I'll take it!

On the other hand, a zooming TC doesn't need to be good below f/2 (or even f/2.8 if you want to ignore the 135/2 and 200/2), and it doesn't have to have IS elements that decenter themselves. So, again, maybe it's doable.

Someone at needs to make these happen.
