I got the Olympus 40-150 f2.8 Lens and a few photos

Yesterday afternoon the local camera store called and my pre-ordered Olympus 40-150 F2.8 lens had arrived. I ordered mine on the day of the announcement and I was number two on the store's list.

On the way home I stopped at Ashland Park and got a photo of the Louisville Riverfront

It was 20 F degrees and windy but the Canadian Geese seems to be enjoying watching the sunset

Finally able to take wildlife photos at sunset without going with a real high iso. Also the extra reach was really helpful.

It is too soon to know how much I will like the lens, My initial impression is that I am really going to enjoy this lens. The extra reach over the Panasonic 35-100 is going to come in very handy. I am planning on keeping both F2.8 lenses.  Using the Panasonic when I need compact size and don't need the extra reach and the Olympus when I really don't know what to expect, which is most of the time.  I am planning on giving the 75-300 to my wife for her long lens after the 1.4xTC arrives.
