Sanho Hyperdrive Colorspace UDMA2 & SSD Compatability
Re: Sanho Hyperdrive Colorspace UDMA2 & SSD Compatability
Yeah, I just got a Sanho and I too talked with their support people. They said that the power circuit was not designed with SSDs in mind and could eventually cause unreliability. It could also do things like reboot by it self, and other such nastiness. I originally wanted to install a 512GB Samsung SSD but after talking to Sanho, I installed a 1TB WD Blue. They recommended the WD Blue with 5400rpm so that the battery will last longer. It appears that the WD Blue has twice the SATA speed as the WD Scorpio Blue so be aware of what you are buying. I did have a Corsair 256GB SSD but I took it out after Sanho recommended against it. One of the things I asked them about is if their firmware support garbage collection and they said no. So I guess the Trim command will not work either.
