SX60 & SX50 Stuffed Toy Samples.

I picked the pink bear because of its silky like iridescent fur. I wanted to give the SX60 some colors really difficult to render. NOTE: There is a small hair to check out on the toy's right eye.

Camera Settings:

SOOC

Both were set to Neutral colors.

The WB was adjusted for each camera separately to the white background.

NR was set to Low.

Each camera on Manual with the shutters set unequal to get as equal exposure as possible. This is because I wanted the SX50 to use its lowest ISO80 while the SX60 needed to use ISO100.

Tripod mounted with IS off.

Things I noticed: (just casual observations.)

The SX50's "Neutral" color setting isn't as neutral as the SX60's. (as seen in these shots)

The two cameras expose differently even with the exact same settings.

The SX60 exposure seems more critical than the SX50

The SX60 has slightly more noise.

The two sensors have different noise patterns.

The SX50 applies slightly more NR at the LOW setting than the SX60 does.

The SX60 needs to be held more still at full zoom to avoid camera shake. (IS on or off.)

The SX60 renders slightly more detail in ideal conditions.

The DOF is more shallow with the SX60. (as seen in the toys foot.)

Even though the SX50's shot is slightly darker, the white stitching in the red heart is more blown out then the SX60's.

Some parts of the two images below favor the SX50 when other parts of the image favor the SX60.

Their unequal image size from each camera, makes it extremely difficult to compare with any certainty. When using perfectly rendered images from both cameras, then upsizing the SX50's image in PS, the process seems not pure enough to draw any hard conclusions. I did upsize the SX50 shot in Photo Shop. I didn't post it here because I didn't feel it did the SX50 justice.
