I would strongly suggest the Olympus 17mm f/1.8 rather than the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7. Using the original version of the 20mm (there is a version 2 available now) I found the AF to be much slower than the Panasonic kit zoom and everything else I used on my Panasonic GF1. I recently got the Olympus 17/1.8 and it is basically permanently mounted on my E-PM2. I find the focal length perfect almost always. Probably because I've been shooting at 20mm for years. But its slightly wider FOV lets me do that one handed pic with the wife whenever we go somewhere new and interesting. Of all the photos I take in town or on vacation the ones we cherish most are of us and the area around us. Taken with the outstretched arm.
