Canon SX60 HS does not work properly with Yongnuo YN565EX

I had this Yongnuo YN565EX flash for a while. I was using it with my Canon SX10 and it was working just fine, except for the M mode where it does not work (known issue).

Now I bought the Canon SX60 HS and I was expecting to keep using the YN565EX, however, all the pictures taken in any camera mode, with flash set to ETTL will be way overexposed. The only way I found to take properly exposed pictures with it was setting ISO to 100.

It looks like SX60 is adjusting aperture, time and ISO to its internal flash, which works just fine even with ISO 800 or higher. I guess the camera and the flash should automatically adjust their settings to proper exposion in TTL mode, but it's not doing that, at least when ISO setting is concerned.

Adjusting exposure compensation in the camera or the flash does not help. It will overexpose anyway.

Anyone else having this issue? I'd like to make sure the flash is actually incompatible with SX60 before considering buying Canon Speedlite 430EX II or anything else.
