Hi,
I recently aquired a Canon EOS Rebel T4i and the photos seem to be more 'grainy' and not as sharp now as when I first used it.
I made the possible mistake of lending it to a close friend who knows something about photography, but she may have made a lot of settings changes and that may well be the only problem.
First, how do I re-set to all the factory settings to avoid any that she may have used which has caused this problem.
And second, do you have any other suggestions or experiences which could help me?
Thank you for any help you can offer.
Regards, Ken.
Switch the camera on.
Turn the top dial to the green mode [A+]. Push the menu button and go to the left most setting tab (the leftmost with the camera icon). The top setting should be L. Your pictures should be OK now.
The other modes (P, Av, Tv, M) enable more tweaking/control of settings and if you haven't mastered them yet they can give unexpected results. A+ will then revert you back to a full auto mode. I further refer to the advice given by the others and advise you to read sone starters about DSLR photography or even better take a beginners course and then test the effect of the advanced settings and then read some more.
Have fun,

Thank you very much 10s, that seems tp look better. I will check it out further with more photos.
Regards, Ken.
