Re: EM10 with new Panasonic 14-140 - anyone using it please?

I've reported this in a few other threads.  I have 2 EM10s and an EM1.  I like the specs, quality construction, and handling of the Pana 14-140 mk II but with all three of these cameras I experienced serious shutter shock when using the 14-140 MK II.  I had IBIS turned on and lens OIS turned off-- and zero second shutter shock set.  I sold the first copy and bought a second as I really wanted to like this lens, but the same thing happened-- shutter shock-- and I didn't even believe in shutter shock until this 14-140 II experience.

In the important 1/30 to 1/250 SS range, I'd say at least 50% of shots were distinctly blurry and unacceptable.  So I sold the 2nd copy also and bought the Tamron 14-150 which I have found very much to my liking and it works very well on my OMD bodies.  I also have the Olympus 14-150 which I consider optically about equal to the Tamron, and that is "quite good" for this class of lens.  I would recommend either the Oly or Tamron for the EM10, but not the Panasonic 14-140 mk II.

2-3 years ago I had the MK I Pana 14-140 on a GH1 and had no such problems, but that is a bigger, heavier, and much different lens and of course on a Panasonic body.

Good Luck.
