a couple of days ago, i remarked on the jitter in that chicago thread, that you just posted to.

since the jitter is visible in some of that vimeo footage, it can't be a local playback problem.

it seems that you and i are the only people who noticed it.

There is now at least one other person.  New version of 14-140mm on GH3; same symptoms as OP described.  45-175mm and 100-300mm do not do this.

No one will notice if they are panning, etc., so that would explain the lack of other reports on this.  And some people are so unsteady in a hand-held "stationary" shot that the hand motion would tend to obscure the jitter.  Fixed position (in my case, resting GH3 on a solid surface) produced zero jitter.

This lens also got several mediocre marks on Amazon due to shutter shock issues.  I haven't tested that yet, but the video issue has me inclined to send this lens back.

mark did not use the 14-140 lens in that clip(?), which would indicate that the problem could be bigger than just one defective lens.

so rather than send it back, i would try mounting it on another gh4, if possible.

it might help if you posted a short clip of the problem.
