Hey all,
This has probably been posted umpteen times before, but I'm curious as to the company I keep.
As far as equipment; What's in your bag? What do you want to add to your bag? Why? Where/what do you primarily shoot? What processing equipment do you use? Batch or Individual?
I'm curious like a cat... that's why my friends call me whiskers...
I typically shoot outdoors, and concerts, thought I'd love to turn my focus to Wildlife and Ski/Snowboard photography.
Here's what I'm slinging:
Canon T4i w/Grip
Canon 18-135 STM (EF-S)
Canon 50MM F1.8 II (EF)
Canon 55-250 (EF-S)
Tamron 200-500 Super
Promaster CF Tripod
Promaster Gimbal Head
On order:
Vivitar 835 (x2)
What I'd like to add:
Sigma 15MM Fisheye|
Neewer TT860 Li-Ion Flash
Promaster Ball Head
Nikon SB80DX (x2)
Pocket Wizard Multimax
Pocket Wizard Plus X (x2)
Why:
- A fisheye is great for action sports photography... and the Sigma is a nice lens for the right price...
- The Neewer TT860 has a lot of the same features as the canon EX430, but a short recycle of just 1.5 sec and uses proprietary rechargeable Li-Ion batteries that are said to last full power for 650 shots, and will shoot 30+ Consecutive shots before the flash over-heat protection kicks in... this would be perfect for concert shoots in poorly lit rooms...
- Pro Master Ball head for astro and long exposure. I LOVE my gimbal, but it's inconvenient when shooting long exposure (especially portrait orientation)
- a Nikon SB80DX because, much like the Vivitar 835, it's got a 1/1000 duration at full power, but a faster re-charge and more reliable. 1/1000 (from what I've read) is ideal for action sports with an off camera flash...so I'll test the Vivitar, then make that call.
- and all the pocket wizard stuff for off-camera flash work. I really want to set up some stage flashes and shoot a concert with some off camera flash stuff...
Processing:
I have Lightroom, but don't use it much, mainly because I don't know HOW... so primarily I batch download from my cards, then hand pick and process/sign in Photoshop CC... Photoshop CC works amazingly for Panoramas and what-not. (See below:)

So what about you?? I'm curious!
