While comparing the Nikon P600 with both the Canon SX60 & SX50 I noticed a significant difference in the size of the image files. P600 - 5.8MB, SX60 - 3.7MB, and SX50 - 3.2MB for the same image (still life 100). In looking at the exif data I noticed they had selected "fine" quality setting for both the Canons. I also noticed the same differences in the images in the article "Best Superzoon 2014". Could this be why the Nikon IQ seems so much better?

Guess they used the default JPEG quality setting on the camaras, which is fair enough. Don't think it matters that much. The SX60 is actually doing fine in the comparometer. Much better than at full zoom in the other comparison.
