Why do you take photos?

I love it!

I always loved developing my own film and prints, nothing beats seeing that print for the first time. Now even though some of the charm is gone (developing film) I still enjoy seeing that picture as it comes up on the monitor for first time.

I am no professional by any means, but I understand how the camera works in relation to exposure and depth of field.

I was taught that the best camera in the world is the one you own. I've been taking pictures since 1980. I have over 23K pictures that are comprised of scans of negatives and digitally taken. Some of them are blurry, some of them are crisp. All of them have a story and emotion.

I love cameras and photography.

Me with my first camera, Minolta SRT101. on the way home from school in 1980.
