New Test: SX50 vs SX60 - You Decide!
2

I just ran a new test. This is for those who feel that the SX60 images are brigher than the SX50 and need negative exposure compensation.

I took several shots with each camera with 0 EC, -.33 EC, -.66 EC. I viewed them in Photoshop and kept the best shot.

Both cams were on a tripod with remote shutter release and timer. IS was turned off. Both set to Superfine JPEG. Both set to A Mode - ISO 200. All other settings were factory default.

I also took some shots in P Mode, to see if each camera metered the same (give the same exposure settings), and they did, so I didn't bother to post those shots, since they are the same as the ones in A Mode.

I encourage you to download the full size images and compare them at 50% and 100% view.  And it would be great if someone could post full size crops side by side for easy comparision here in this thread.

So what do you all think?

SX50 ISO200 A MODE - NO EC

SX60 ISO200 A MODE - NO EC

SX50 ISO200 A MODE -.33 EC

SX60 ISO200 A MODE -.33 EC

SX50 ISO200 A MODE -.66 EC

SX60 ISO200 A MODE -.66 EC
