A camera mounted on the helmet effectively makes the wearer a photographer/videographer. Thus, especially in high-risk sports, the distraction of the camera does affect the performance of the wearer by precluding FULL concentration on the demanding primary task at hand.

Sounds good, but hasn't been proven. There have been hundreds, probably thousands of professional level riders and skiers doing their thing and the camera has no impact - they just get in a groove and don't pay attention to the camera. If they aren't able to tune that out, then they aren't professionals since all high energy sports like that are full of distractions to start with.

Pretty sure that uttering the phrase "hey watch this" has an equal or better chance to increase the risk of whatever you're doing
