But if you put the transmitter with terminal cable on the camera and the receiver on the flash, how do you trip the shutter?

With one Finger on the Camera Shutter, or with the second YONGNUO on the Flash.
You need a Receiver/Transmitter for every Unit there You want to Fire/Shoot.

But it is possible to use the Camera + Flash with only one YONGNUO at once.
That means, You need one YONGNUO for the Camera + Flash and a second one in Your Hand.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Don't you need another device in your hand, or do you do that with the receiver on the flash unit?

I doesn't have the YONGNUO Flash with the internal Receiver/Transmitter.
I know only three possibly Configurations with my YONGNUO RF-603N:

1. One YONGNUO on the Camera controls the second or more YONGNUO's with the unleashed Flash.
2. One YONGNUO alone controls the second or more YONGNUO's on the Camera with the Cable to Shoot.
3. One YONGNUO controls a second YONGNUO on the Camera+Cable+Flash and a third or more YONGNUO's with a Flash and/or Camera.
