All fine shots but the first has that little something different.

Lovely stuff. I hate fall colour shots that don't have a subject or a landscape of merit. Difficult to know where to crop an image like this.

You deserve an award for patience Wolfie. And another for the highest number of sparrow pictures in a single post :-)

Really nice lines in this.

This is the name of a tiny parc in between Place Jacques-Cartier and Château Ramezay in Old Montreal. Beside the row of benches and trees, there is an area with grass and some interesting sculptures (to the left of this image). Shot as I was going from one job to another this morning. Being self employed does have some perks. Like taking a few minutes to shoot some pictures. :-)

Well, to me this is photography : except for some of the skies that were interesting in themselves, each scene could have been ordinary, but they have been shot in a certain way, and a series of decisions were made and aesthetic choices that made them photography. What I like about them is that they have a particular quality in common : they could all be the opening shot of a movie - they are powerful enough that they tell a story in one glance.

I particularly like the third one, the B&W shot, the dramatic sky and the way the masts create a rythm (they almost act as they are the ones lifting up the dark cloud!).

Interesting scenes - what are those things for sale in the second?
Hmm - something tells me you've not seen 'Life Of Brian'.

First, third and fourth are my favorite. They are powerful shots.

And thanks for that reallyl great quote by Minor White that I had not read before.

Well 3eCheval, you have gone straight in as a new member of my Platinum Club. It normally takes lots of compliments from a new poster to achieve that status but this sort of flattery opens doors.

Full disclosure: she's my baby. ;)

There is something very fresh about those pictures. And I like the 'unprocessed borders'. Keep it.

Very serene.

Ah yes - just off the Rue Notre Dame....

OK, I admit, I googled it. Good shot BTW.

One is a lovely shot, all the better for having the bird as a focal point. And #3 is a lush, jigsaw-worthy number.

Really nice. The first and third make nice use of foreground elements and, IMO, are very well composed. The reflections in the shot of the bird in flight are very interesting but I think that would be stronger with a bit faster shutter speed to better freeze the bird. Very good work.

Suburbs and strip malls. I guess typically American and also regional. I saw a phone number in one of the photos, so I guess these were shot somewhere in Florida.

We would say "Color" in America. :-)
